The Ruby stone is one of the four precious gemstones of the world. This month is all about Rubies, if you're born this month then you may also know that this is your birthstone (a perfect excuse to find a creation to add to your collection)!

The tickets are sold out, the stage is being arranged, the gowns are being prepared and the champagne chilled. We are ecstatic to create another beautiful Ryley Jewellery Creation for the 2022 Gala.

Among the many assets and custodial issues to sort through, quite often at the end of it all there is a looming question of what to do with your engagement and wedding rings (not to mention any other jewellery that came out of your relationship).

For the team at Toowoomba jeweller, Ryley Jewellery Creations, women outnumber the men four to three. In celebration of International Women’s Day, here’s an introduction to the amazing women behind RJC.

It feels like an eternity since we announced that we would moving from our tiny 40sq metre space in The Chronicle Arcade, in Margaret St, Toowoomba. However, on 4 December, 2021, we opened the doors to our long awaited and much anticipated state-of-the-art manufacturing studio and showroom in the luxurious Kwong Sang Walk in the centre of the Toowoomba CBD.

Pink Argyle Diamonds are rare but jewellers and suppliers have been stockpiling them since the Argyle mine opened some 40 years ago, so jewellers and suppliers making claim to having “the last of the Argyles” are simply creating scarcity. AKA - great marketing!

I will be creating an amazing bespoke creation for the event which is to be auctioned off to the highest bidder on the night. The creation will be worth more then $5000 and it will be made from 18ct yellow and white gold featuring a Parti Sapphire with a unique halo of white diamonds.

Having a few weeks off over the Christmas break allowed me to take a step back and have a good think about where I want Ryley JC to go in 2018 and beyond....

We are very proud to have made it as far as what we have... but the constant fight within myself to be the perfect dad, husband, business owner, jeweller and designer....

Every now and then when I create a piece of jewellery I sit back and think "Wow! I actually made that with my bare hands. I turned that lump of gold and pile of stones into something somebody will cherish for a lifetime".
